Stress Equals Mess

Here are some ways I relieve stress and I feel like I have more peace in life
 



  • SELF-CARE- Making sure you take time to take care of yourself and your needs is very important to help you not feel so all over the place and overwhelmed. Something as simple as having a step-by-step morning routine can help you feel like you have a balance of things in your mind. It can be as simple as getting up and making your bed, brushing your teeth, and making breakfast. Even if you aren't a morning person a simple routine to take time for yourself like relaxing and listening to music for maybe 30 minutes to an hour or journaling for that time can be a great reset for yourself. Self-care doesn't always have to be a lengthy thing it can just be a simple little moment in your day carved out for you. I like to use Sundays as my self-care days to reset for the upcoming week.

  • HOBBIES- Having things that you do that bring you joy or a sense of peace and happiness is always great. Hobbies or doing things you enjoy in your spare time for me give you a sense of self. Being able to take time out of your day or during your downtime helps you feel like you have a moment to just stop and be still amidst a lot of chaos or even just calm your mind for a bit. I love my hobbies because they give me a sense of happiness and peace whenever I'm feeling down or just don't know what to do in my spare time. Hobbies can be simple for example mine are painting, writing, drawing, baking, and DIY/crafts, amongst other things I have quite a few but you can never have too many.

  • GETTING OUTSIDE- Sometimes we stay indoors too often leaving us so much time to overthink a lot and be in our head about things. That's why it is always good to make sure you get out and get some fresh air and enjoy nature. It is such a refreshing feeling to just be in nature surrounded by all its beauty, it is such a peaceful experience. I know my happy place is the beach but living in a desert isn't my go-to. You don't have to go anywhere extravagant. Going for a stroll at the park or even just having a little picnic is good enough. Just being around greenery feeling the breeze and listening to the birds, especially during sunset is super peaceful and mind-clearing within itself.

These are just a few of my favorite things to do when I feel stressed or to help prevent me from being overwhelmed with life. Life can get a bit hectic sometimes and it can be hard to avoid stress but every little step counts so try and find what works for you and maybe some of my tips can help you with that.
